BUILDING FOR OUR CUSTOMERS
At Chi-Mar, we like to involve our customers throughout the building process. A unique thing about Chi-Mar is that all of the employees have grown up together. We know each other, trust each other and understand what each of our roles is in producing the finest quality homes in the Florida Panhandle.



ARCHITECT
If you do not already have one, we will work with you to find an Architect who will fit with your personality and who designs the type and style of home you desire to build. Whether you need our assistance, or already have an Architect engaged, we will work with your Architect throughout the process of building your home to ensure everything works out just right. We often suggest to you and your Architect ways to “Value Engineer” your home in order to reduce your cost or improve the desired outcome. This is a specialty of Chi-Mar.

PROJECT MANAGER
Our Project Managers are direct employees who oversee the construction of your home. They are on site with our top quality and trusted sub contractors, ensuring everything stays on time, on track and on budget. They are available to answer your questions and meet with you as often as you like throughout the building process. They are a key asset to our company and to our success.

PROJECT COORDINATOR
Once you make the choice to go with Chi-Mar Construction, Shannon— your personal Project Coordinator—will be your primary contact regarding key aspects of construction including: permitting, interior finish selection, and lender relations. You will work directly with Shannon to compile a project checklist showing all the necessary selections for the house including: interior paint colors, flooring selections, countertops, plumbing fixtures, etc... You will receive monthly email updates with pictures of your project, showing what has been completed and what will be completed on your home. In addition, she will keep you apprised of the anticipated construction draws for the month and will coordinate with your bank to schedule inspections.

SUB CONTRACTORS
Sub Contractors are a crucial element of any construction company, but no one ever talks about them! At Chi-Mar, we are proud of the relationships we have built with our Subs. We have worked with most of them for over four years and have established the standards we demand for our customers. Because of the quantity and quality of homes we build, we can keep our subs busy year round, leading to their stability and our ability to perform on time.

WE ARE JUST RIGHT
Some homebuilders are bigger than we are. Most of them live out of state and you rarely get to interact with the Principals. Some homebuilders are smaller than we are, building one or two houses a year; but that can lead to problems with getting regularly scheduled subs, leading to delays. At Chi-Mar, we are not too big, not too small….we are just right! We build, on average, 12-20 homes per year—ranging in price from $400K to $2.5M—allowing us to deliver outstanding personal service and to receive the best service from our subs and raw material providers.
